Gumbuya World opens two new rollercoasters for peak summer season
December 23, 2022

Complete and operational for its peak summer holiday season, Victoria’s biggest theme park, Gumbuya World has today opened its new TNT and Project Zero rollercoasters.

Offering dramatic new ride experiences, the two rollercoasters set a new standard for theme-parks in the Victoria.

The demolition yard-themed TNT, a suspended family rollercoaster, offers guests a remarkable adrenaline rushwill, reaching speeds of nearly 70 km/h, boosting along 450 metres of track, up a 20 metre climb, and through two tunnels and a building.

With its intergalactic theming, riders on the Project Zero skyloop rollercoaster are boosted 50 metres into the sky at speeds of more than

100km/h and taken on two loops - experiencing the kind of G-forces NASA astronauts endure out in space.

With the attractions having recorded its busiest ever February earlier this year, Gumbuya World Chief Executive, Ron Weinzierl is expecting the new rides to boost attendances this summer, commenting "these new coasters are the first of Victoria’s kind, and I have no doubt that Victorians are going to absolutely love it.”

Already incorporating water, wildlife and ride experiences, Gumbuya World is hoping that the addition of these rides which will attract Melburnians of all ages that are looking for a surge of fun this summer season.

The addition of the two new rollercoasters mean guests can now take their pick of 13 rides throughout the park.

TNT was supplied by Vekoma while the TNT Project Zero skyloop formerly operated as the BuzzSaw at Dreamworld prior to being decomisisoned in 2021. It was originally manufactured by Maurer.
