Fitness Technology Summit to start in virtual format next week

Fitness Technology Summit to start in virtual format next week
August 6, 2021

The first Fitness and Recreation Industry Technology Summit’s move online will commence with a series of seven free webinars next week, with dietitian, exercise physiologist and personalised health leader, Dr Cam McDonald to launch the series on Thursday 12th August.

The first webinar in the Virtual Fitness and Recreation Technology Summit series will also feature bonus presentations from Barrie Elvish, Chief Executive of Fitness Australia, and John Holsinger, APAC Director of the International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association (IHRSA) who will give updates on the state of the Australian industry.

With the rescheduling of the face-to-face Technology Summit until 2022, organisers Active Management has pivoted and are proud to deliver a free seven-part webinar series to the entire aquatic, exercise, fitness, recreation and sport industries.

Event organiser Jess Abbey advised “speakers and sponsors have been sensationally supportive.

“Thanks to them we have been able to able to provide game changing education to every business.  There is a session over the next 14 weeks that will suit the personal trainer in the park right through to the CEOs of franchise operations.

“There has been nothing like this ever conducted for the industry or for free.”

The fortnightly webinars will be held on Thursdays at 3:30pm (AEST) and include sessions on industry data post COVID from James Ellender, Chief Executive of ActiveXchange; building your own digital marketing strategy; boosting your Google SEO with a hands on workshop; and how to turn your virtual service into a profitable venture from three business owners who are doing it.

The unique aspect of the Virtual Fitness and Recreation Technology Summit is that owners do not have to give up days of work.

The webinars are 90 minutes duration every two weeks, allowing this educational opportunity to fit into every business schedule.

Summit founder Justin Tamsett added “we are conscious of limited time and budgets of owners across the industry.  This event reduces any friction to attend and content that will strengthen their businesses.”

Those who register will receive a recording of the webinar to share along with a special discount on the face-to-face event in 2022.
