16 animatronic dinosaurs have been exported from the USA for the exhibit which will open on 2nd November. They include full size models of a Tyrannosaurus Rex, the spiked Edmontonia and an Allosaurus.
Taronga Zoo Media Relations Officer Danielle McGill explained that the dinosaurs "are going to be situated all around the zoo grounds.
"Some will roar, others will spit and keepers will be giving educational talks on them all day. We'll spend the next couple of days hooking them all up to their hydraulics so they will be ready when the exhibition opens."
It is the first time the dinosaurs have travelled to Australia - transported all the way from Texas in massive shipping containers.
McGill added "they've been all around America and even the UK but never in Australia so we're thrilled to have them here.
"We have basically brought them in to teach people about how to look after the animals that are on the brink of extinction so they don't follow in the footsteps of the dinosaurs."
