AUSTSWIM continues to deliver training and support for swim and water safety teachers
April 12, 2021

AUSTSWIM has announced that it will return to the personal delivery of training and support for swimming and water safety teachers across ACT, regional NSW, Tasmania and regional Western Australia.

AUSTSWIM has announced that it will return to the personal delivery of training and support for swimming and water safety teachers across ACT, regional NSW, Tasmania and regional Western Australia.

AUSTSWIM’s announcement means it will deliver more Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety courses, more extension courses and more professional development backed by more contact with AUSTSWIM team members.

To mark the return of AUSTSWIM to these areas, the organisation has launched a support campaign to assist in stimulating interest in swimming and water safety and to attract new teachers to the sector.

Prospective AUSTSWIM Teachers in ACT, regional NSW, Tasmania and regional Western Australia now have access to significantly discounted and tuition free (subject to conditions) training opportunities with no complicated eligibility criteria or enrolment processes.

In a statement, the body advises “we know AUSTSWIM Teachers play an important role in educating the community on the importance of gaining swimming and water safety skills and understanding the principles and practices of water safety.

“The return of AUSTSWIM and this campaign aims assist these areas in expanding their access to quality AUSTSWIM Teachers of Swimming and Water Safety.

“This year the urgency to get families back into the water to continue their water safety learning has shone a light on the demand for new and existing AUSTSWIM Teachers to jump in the pool.

“It’s encouraging to see so much activity return to the industry with record AUSTSWIM candidate numbers and AUSTSWIM administration staff working tirelessly to keep the industry current and moving forward.”

For more information view out the AUSTSWIM Course Calendar for course details and further information under the funded opportunities tab on the AUSTSWIM website.
