read moreAustralian Open has introduced TOPCOURT – a new precinct offering the latest innovation in fan experience, blending sport and entertainment.
TOPCOURT is set to transform Middle Terrace at Melbourne Park for AO 2025, offering a destination designed especially for a new generation of fans seeking an energetic and fresh tennis experience.
With cutting-edge tech, immersive gaming and Augmented Reality, live music, DJ Tiebreakers and the hottest trends in food, fashion, and beauty — TOPCOURT will have everything to deliver the ultimate fan experience.
Tennis Australia Director of Product and Customer Experience Amanda Del Prete advised “we’re always pushing boundaries at the AO, and TOPCOURT will offer something truly unique.
“This new space is where fans can connect, immerse themselves in the energy, and enjoy the Australian Open like never before.
“Whether catching up with friends over the latest food trend, grabbing a drink, or stepping up your style, TOPCOURT will be the go-to spot to eat, shop, chill, and experience world-class tennis in a vibrant new setting.”
The hit of the AO in 2024 – the Courtside Bar – will also be back bigger and better. With increased capacity, enhanced tennis viewing, an intimate rooftop bar and delicious bar menu.
Shade
Across the precinct, the Australian Open will increase shaded areas by almost double from AO 2024, from 3,278 square metres to a massive 5,932 square metres.
This includes a new shade structure for 1573 Arena, like the structure on Court 3, a favourite among players and fans alike. Shade on 1573 Arena will increase from 325 square metres to 1170 square metres, making the tennis viewing experience more comfortable and fun for thousands of fans.
There will be more shade in food and beverage areas to keep fans comfortable as they order from a wide variety of delicious snacks and drinks.
There will also be more shade in The Village situated between John Cain Arena and Kia Arena. This area will have new-look shaded viewing platforms to accommodate hundreds of fans keen to see the top players in practice as they prepare for Grand Slam glory.
