TreeClimb Salisbury gets official opening

TreeClimb Salisbury gets official opening
January 2, 2025

The new TreeClimb Salisbury attraction is now home to four of South Australia’s longest ziplines following its official opening at the Harry Bowey Reserve in Salisbury Park.

Opened to the community as of last Friday, TreeClimb Salisbury is the first offers a unique experience, with ziplines up to 150 metres long and platforms almost 12 metres above the ground.

Adventure seekers can enjoy over one kilometre of thrilling ziplines woven into the park's natural environment, along with suspended obstacle courses high in the tree canopy.

Bringing one of South Australia’s most popular attractions closer to residents in Adelaide’s northern suburbs, TreeClimb Salisbury is a family-friendly park, featuring a dedicated course that allows parents and children to climb together.

Harry Bowey Reserve was chosen for its ideal location, facilities, parking and picnic areas. Community access to the park will remain unaffected, and tree health is a priority, with a comprehensive arborist survey conducted before construction and ongoing monitoring to follow.

The project followed extensive community consultation, with 93% of respondents supporting the initiative.

Commenting on the opening, City of Salisbury Mayor, Gillian Aldridge stated “the opening of TreeClimb in Salisbury is an exciting addition to the remarkable growth happening in northern Adelaide.

“It highlights how the City of Salisbury is playing a key role in shaping our region's future, offering vibrant spaces for all to enjoy.”

TreeClimb Managing Director, Seb Packer added “we're thrilled to announce the opening of our third TreeClimb venue in South Australia.”

TreeClimb Salisbury offers:

  • Grand Course: For those taller than 135cm, this course is packed with high-flying thrills and challenging obstacles.
  • Kids Course: For those taller than 100cm, the Kids Course is full of fun and excitement, with adults following along from the ground as their little ones tackle the course.
  • Family Experience: Designed for confident youngsters of 125cm+ who aren’t quite ready for the Grand Course, this experience lets adults (18+) climb side-by-side with their young adventurers for a shared experience to remember.

TreeClimb also operates popular locations in the Adelaide Park Lands and Kuitpo Forest.
