The Adelaide Park Lands Authority has granted the team behind Adelaide’s Bounce trampoline centre an eight-year lease to operate a highwire adventure park – called Tree Climb – on the corner of Greenhill and Unley Roads in the south Parkland’s.
The project will include flying foxes, bridges and climbing obstacles across 16,000 metre² of tree canopy.
Speaking at the authority’s most-recent meeting, Adelaide City Councillor Anne Moran said the adventure park would be a welcome addition to the Parklands.
Councillor Moran advised “I can’t see any downside at all and I think it will be very exciting and a lot of fun.
“It is a positive improvement (and) it will be very in keeping with the nature of the Parklands.”
Tree Climb, which is tipped to attract more than 40,000 customers each year, is expected to open in August.
Bounce SA Managing Director Seb Packer said the team was looking forward to bringing the tree-top adventure park to Adelaide.
Packer told Adelaide’s Eastern Courier Messenger “we will have six courses that are all progressive in skill and challenge so you can get the young kids in, but also the more extreme people.”
