The Hills Shire completes upgrade of Connie Lowe Reserve in time for school holidays
July 10, 2020

The upgraded Connie Lowe Reserve, located on Adelphi Street, in Rouse Hill is now open for play – just in time for the July school holidays.

The Hills Shire Mayor, Dr Michelle Byrne said she was happy to see one of The Shire’s more established parks receive a facelift adding “the new play equipment in Connie Lowe Reserve has been designed to suit most ages and abilities, and aims to foster creative play, as well as be dynamic and physically challenging for park users.

“Overall, the renovated playground ticks all the boxes and it’s the perfect place for families to come together to enjoy a fun-filled day out, especially now that COVID-19 restrictions are easing.

“I’m so proud Council is investing in facilities like Connie Lowe Reserve that will be used by generations of Hills residents for years to come.”

The park’s new facilities include:

•             Shade sails;

•             An additional swing set;

•             A large nest swing;

•             Nature timber play stepping logs;

•             Synthetic grass;

•             An accessible bubbler;

•             Improved pathways and

•             A handball court.

Connie Lowe Reserve is one of a number of parks which have recently undergone an upgrade, including Golden Grove Reserve, Macquarie Avenue Reserve and Hancey Farm Reserve.
