Technogym ambassadors launch new MYRUN and SKILLMILL technology
Sally Fitzgibbons and Jenna Douros, ambassadors for leading fitness equipment supplier Technogym, have launched the brand’s newest technology, MYRUN and SKILLMILL.
The SKILLMILL, used by the Greater Western Sydney Giants and Parramatta Eels, is a non-motorised product that combines power, speed, stamina and agility.
Defining a completely new product category, the SKILLMILL is the only non-motorised treadmill that combines power, speed, stamina and agility training to help you feel and perform like an athlete.
The SKILLMILL allows users to move in any direction – forwards, backwards, sideways – and at any speed or intensity level, from a resistance-free run to an all-out sled push.
As official equipment supplier to six Olympic Games, including Rio 2016, and partner to some of the world’s best performing teams and athletes, Technogym has first-hand experience in the training methods and requirements of thousands of champions in over 100 disciplines. This experience is fundamental to Athletic Performance Training, Technogym’s complete training methodology which was created with its Olympic heritage at heart.
This is all fully integrated within mywellness app, Technogym’s cloud based training platform. By scanning the SKILLMILL QR code on the mywellness app, users can access a variety of training programs and tools to monitor and track their progress.
MYRUN enhances users cardio routines with personalised training plans, step and stride assessment and a music playlist that matches users pace.
Designed to work with users’ tablet through the MYRUN app, the technology offers a unique range of functions – from training and keeping in touch with users’ personal trainer, to answering emails, checking social media and watching your favourite TV shows.
MYRUN also offers a bespoke program that takes into account the users’ current fitness level and how often they need to train to achieve their goals.
The Running Rate feature is an algorithm exclusive to Technogym, allowing you to measure your stride length, displacement and step frequency, which in turn can help you improve your technique. The surface of MYRUN can also adapt to your specific style of running and can change to a softer or firmer surface reducing the risk of injury.
For pro-surfer Sally Fitzgibbons, MYRUN is an essential part of her training regime.
Fitzgibbons explains“MYRUN is the ideal system for me – I can tailor my training plan, monitor my progress, and use the app to enjoy my favourite playlist. It’s smooth and quiet. Paring my road running with sessions on Technogym MYRUN is ideal. I can juggle my training between commitments. It’s the ideal running partner. I never want to miss a session.”
MYRUN and SKILLMILL were launched in Australia at an event at Gold’s Gym Bondi Beach.
