S.R.Smith acquires Anti Wave Australia
Leading international aquatic equipment leaders S.R.Smith, LLC has announced its acquisition of the assets of Anti Wave Australia.
The purchase brings S.R.Smith a portfolio of competitive swimming products under the Anti Wave brand, which the company will market and sell in Australian and selected Asia-Pacific markets.
The acquisition provides S.R.Smith access to the second largest pool market in the world, with approximately 900,000 commercial and residential swimming pools.
Plans include expanding sales of S.R.Smith pool deck equipment into Australia to supplement Anti Wave competitive product offerings as well as offering a complete line of residential deck equipment.
Explaining the move, S.R.Smith President and Chief Executive Rich Laitta stated "Australia presents an exciting opportunity for S.R. Smith (and) we are thrilled to acquire an industry leading brand with a history of innovation and customer service.
"We hope to build on Anti Wave's tradition and deliver the highest quality products to our customers."
Anti Wave products are well known in the competitive swimming world and include starting blocks, water polo goals, racing lane lines, storage reels and complementary accessories, with Anti Wave products having featured in several Olympic Games, including Sydney 2000.
The Australian business will trade under the name SRS Australia Pty Ltd and operate out of the existing Anti Wave manufacturing and distribution facility in Ipswich, Queensland.
S.R.Smith is a worldwide leader of residential, commercial and pool lift deck equipment. Founded in 1932, S.R.Smith is headquartered inCanby, Oregon, USA with additional manufacturing outside Nashville, Tennessee.
S.R.Smith products are featured on some of the finest pools around the world.
