For the second year running, Bond University have utilised RFID products supplied by AAC ID Solutions at their recently held annual Open Day.

The state of the art RFID technology offered a seamless registration system on the day, as well as a fun way to engage with prospective students.

In 2012, RFID wristbands were utilised as the key product, while in 2013 RFID cards and lanyards were chosen. Australasia's leading identification solutions provider, AAC ID Solutions, was once again the supplier of choice for the leading Australian tertiary institution.

Bond University's successful 2013 Open Day provided visitors with a unique RFID card on arrival. By scanning the RFID card at different faculties, the wearer expressed their interest in specific courses and subjects the activity was then saved to a database for future action by University staff. RFID technology in this setting limits the amount of infrastructure, paperwork and hassle related to recording such information; one scan and the expression of interest is recorded.

Additionally, photos were taken and uploaded 'live' to the Bond University and Faculty Facebook via a simple scan of the card.

"As the cost of software and systems have come down, usage of the technology is now entirely feasible for events large and small.
