read moreFocused on assisting Small to Medium, Regional and/or Volunteer run events, rEVENTS Academy will launch their seven week 'Intensive Foundation Program for Events' in May 2021, with the first session commencing 3rd May and running through until 18th June 2021.
This program offers a convenient and accessible way for event committees to improve their event management skills in a flexible online learning environment and is based around rEVENTS Academy’s signature ‘Ten Key Steps to Successful & Sustainable Event Management’ which is broken up into 10 core learning modules.
Group discount rate of 10% applies for Council areas looking to group their regional events and run them through the program together. This arrangement works perfectly for destination regions looking to ensure their local events are efficient, sustainable, and working together cohesively to boost their overarching regional tourism offerings.
After two years of planning (and many more years of dreaming about it) Linda Tillman launched rEVENTS Academy, a complete (and affordable) solution to support the reinvigoration of regional events and the teams that drive them.
rEVENTS Academy is a robust (and fun) support program that provides event committees with the tools, resources, systems, processes and team work to assist them in delivering a high-quality event that drives overnight visitation in their community.
Tillman, founder and Regional and Rural Tourism Advocate notes “with over 15 years experience in the industry, I believe that by ensuring our regional and rural events have sustainable foundations and productive teams, we can continue to drive visitation, economic growth and community pride into our regions.”
For over ten years under the guidance of Tillman, the team at Tilma Group has been working with regional and rural communities to grow and develop their tourism and events economy.
They have worked with over 30 regional festivals and events in this time, supporting them in everything from strategic business planning and marketing strategies through to complete event management solutions. They know that sponsorship is tough to secure, they know that it’s hard to recruit new (and sometimes younger) volunteers and they know that you are getting tired (events are a tough slog!). They also know that regional and rural communities and economies will suffer if we lose these great destination events.
