The enCore Fitness centre in the Sydney suburb of St Ives has used the Ultra Lite Ketogenic diet program to enhance its member offering and boost its business.

The Pilates studio, which is also the sole provider of the Xtend Barre program on Sydney’s Upper North Shore, focuses on women’s wellness and the health of women's bodies both before and after having children.

Owner Jenny Edelman explains “as a mother of four children I had the ‘post baby’ body enough times to know that getting back into shape was not as simple as it sounds.

“After each child the process was a bit more difficult and longer, however, after my twins were born I decided to train as a Pilates instructor.”

In opening her studio, Edelman set out to offer Pilates-based programs, stating “I believe strongly in core strength being vital for healthy women's bodies both before and after having children.

“When I first started I qualified as a Pilates instructor and then added to my repertoire with Xtend Barre, soon afterwards providing other classes utilising a combination or core strength exercises and Pilates principals.

“As my classes filled I added TRX, Gravity, Piloxing, Fusion and Blast classes and lastly the ‘Mums and Bubs’ class.

“After opening my Pilates studio I looked into my nutrition and diet as training alone was not getting me to my weight goals, I had gained in fitness and strength however it was only after I started the Ultra Lite diet program did I lose the final 7 kilograms which had seemed impossible.”

Introducing the Ultra Lite weight loss and detoxification program in her studio, Edelman recalls “my clients were also seeing the results for themselves and getting fitter and stronger, and I was looking for new opportunities to add services to my clients.

“Some had post baby bodies they could not get comfortable with and complained they were training hard but felt they did not know how to eat to lose the post baby weight. Like myself I had clients who had experimented with diet after diet, some quite extreme yet none lasted long or achieved long term results.

“When I had researched weight loss for myself the Ultra Lite program had given me the sustainable results I needed and decided to offer the eating plan through my studio.

“The first client I worked with was two years ago and (this) proved to me (that the Ultra Lite program) it was a great addition to my studio.”

The Ultra Lite program helped the mother of three with whom Edelman worked to lose over 20 kilograms, which, Edelman adds “she has now kept off for nearly two years.

“Since then I have seen clients with amazing results and I feel privileged to be their mentor and Ultra Lite consultant.

“Each new client is the start of a new journey which I take with them (and) every client knows they can call on me to guide them every day on how to eat properly.

“One of the more recent cases is a man whose wife brought him in under duress, (as), after all why would he be interested in another eating plan when at 50 years no other eating plan had worked?

“One of the most exiting experiences was after one-week the client came in for his first weigh-in and he said that ‘he doubts he has lost anything’ as he did not experience a great deal of discomfort and hunger.

“Well that first week he lost 7 kilograms and after six weeks has lost 20 kilograms and is loving the experience.”

Edelman concludes “having new clients come in weekly and existing clients engage as part of their maintenance has not only been rewarding but enjoyable too as I have made friends with so many beautiful women right here in my studio.”
