Ninja Parc network hosts its inaugural National championships

Ninja Parc network hosts its inaugural National championships
December 13, 2022

The Belgravia Group’s Ninja Parc indoor obstacle course franchise is leveraging its growing network to run its own Ninja championship events - much like the Ninja Warrior TV show.

Dozens of budding ninjas conquered the Ninja Parc obstacle course at the Newcastle site for the inaugural Ninja Parc National Championships at the end of November.

The Ninja Parc course features many of the obstacles from the TV show including rope climbs, bouldering challenges, vertical and horizontal doors, a sea of poles and everyone's favourite, the Warped Wall.

Ninjas of all ages swung into action competing for the title of National Ninja Parc Champion with over 150 competitors signing up across three different age divisions.

Contestants also competed against real Ninja Warriors including Newcastle local The ‘Saxy Ninja’ Jason Mitchell, season 6 grand finalist Saxon Johnstone, season 5 semi-finalist Cam Mclintock and Townsville ninja Keziah Furnell.

Ninja Parc Founder John Pirlo said the event was a great success and would be the first of many.

Pirlo advised “we’ve been wanting to run these events for some time but covid created challenges, so it was very exciting to finally see the championships come to life.

“Not everyone will make it onto the big screen to compete as a Ninja Warrior, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be part of the same exhilarating experience at one of our championship events.

“Each year, the Championships will move around Australia to a different Ninja Parc host location with competitors travelling from across the country to take part.”

Sponsors KogaSport helped the event happen on the 2022 calendar.

Ninja Parc now has locations at Newcastle, Western Sydney, Melbourne and Townsville. For more information visit www.ninjaparc.com.au
