read moreA man who allegedly indecently recorded at least five boys under the age of 13 at an aquatic and recreation centre in Perth’s northern suburbs will face court on Friday over a string of child sexual abuse charges.
As reported by WAToday, the 24-year-old will face Joondalup Magistrates Court on four counts of indecently dealing with a child under 13 and 14 counts of indecently recording a child under 13.
He was initially arrested by Western Australian Police last month after a report he recorded a young boy in a cubicle at Craigie Leisure Centre using his mobile phone.
Further investigations by police, and a sweep of his phone, allegedly revealed a further four victims, all boys under 13.
Western Australian Police Inspector Geoff DeSanges said he was unsure about the timeframe of the alleged offending, but that it had all occurred in cubicles at the same centre.
Advising that he believed further investigations could reveal more victims, Inspector DeSanges stated “the investigation is ongoing, including further analysis of the electronic device that was seized, to determine whether there are any further victims.”
