Innovative arts projects in Western Australia secure significant funding boost

Innovative arts projects in Western Australia secure significant funding boost
January 6, 2023

Innovative arts projects in Western Australia including artforms ranging from cabaret to visual arts have shared in more than $650,000 in State Government funding.

The State Government has delivered funding for 13 new Western Australian arts projects through the Arts 15k-plus program.

The Arts 15k-plus program provides support for larger arts projects, with up to $60,000 for artists or organisations to deliver a one-off project or series of activities.

The Arts 15k-plus program runs alongside the Arts U-15k (under $15,000) program, which supports smaller opportunities and projects throughout the year.

The program has delivered $1.4 million since July 2022 and allows artists to bring high-quality arts and cultural experiences to new audiences and share Western Australian stories.

WA Culture and the Arts Minister David Templeman advised “The Arts 15k-plus program gives our local artists the chance to work on a new project or program of activities commencing after February 2023.

"These artists and arts organisations will be supported to do what they do best – bringing exciting new ideas to life for us, their audience.”
