read moreRegional Arts Victoria is collaborating with the Victorian Government, the Great South Coast Regional Partnership, Corangamite Shire, Glenelg Shire, Moyne Shire, Southern Grampians Shire, City of Warrnambool and the Great Ocean Road Tourism Board to begin developing a strategy to support creative industries in the Great South Coast of Victoria.
The strategy will build on the long-term partnership already in place between these groups, and provide a roadmap for supporting creative industry practitioners, organisations and supporters in the south west of the state.
The strategy will have input and guidance from local creative industries representatives, build on local strengths and improve collaboration across the region.
The development of a strategy responds to some of the key priorities identified by the Great South Coast region concerning the development of tourist attractions to encourage people to visit the region and improve the liveability of local communities.
Three main purpose statements will drive the creation of the strategy:
Those interested are invited to attend sessions targeting various art forms which will inform the development of the strategy.
Full details for each session, can be accessed here
