Greg Hurst steps down at Australian Institute of Fitness

Longstanding Australian Institute of Fitness (AIF) Chief Executive Greg Hurst has stepped down from his role, being replaced by Martin Hartcher.
In a letter to industry stakeholders, Hurst wrote "we commenced recruitment for the position two months ago and with 130+ applications received we were pleased with the quality of candidates to interview.
"After intensive interviewing and serious competition Martin was identified as the Institute's ideal new CEO.
"After four years as the Institute's CEO I am looking forward to pursue some personal pursuits (family and recreational) and other fitness business interests.
"However, I remain strongly focused on the growth and development of the Institute in my capacity as a Director and shareholder.
"The Institute is a strong and vibrant business and continues to grow and develop as the leader in education and training for the Australian fitness industry. We have a strong team, a deep regional network and the largest alumni of graduates. I feel certain that Martin and his talented team will take the Institute from strength-to-strength. "
The AIF delivers fitness and personal training courses from campuses across Australia (at St Leonards and Parramatta in NSW; as well as in Melbourne; Brisbane; Adelaide and Perth).
