Hoyts opens new generation cinema experience in Hunter Valley

Hoyts opens new generation cinema experience in Hunter Valley
June 13, 2018

Hoyts have opened a new cinema experience in the NSW Hunter Valley with every seat featuring premium reclining seats.

As part of a $414 million upgrade of Stockland Green Hills Shopping Centre at Maitland, the new Hoyts complex includes two Xtremescreens with Dolby Atmos surround sound and the Hoyts Lux premium dine-in cinema experience while every seat across Hoyts Green Hills’ seven auditoriums is a Camatic seating powered recliner.

With a mission to continue placing the guest experience at the heart of the business, The HOYTS Group Chief Executive and President Damian Keogh explains “our new Green Hills cinema complex will be the biggest in the region, and promises movie-goers an experience unlike any other in the Hunter Valley.

“After considered preparation and planning, including learnings from our flagship cinema HOYTS Chadstone, we’re thrilled to launch our newest all-recliner cinema in a thriving retail, dining and entertainment destination.”

City of Maitland Mayor Loretta Baker added “the opening of HOYTS at Green Hills brings an expanded choice of locations and cinema experiences for our growing community, but importantly, it also brings jobs for local people.”

HOYTS will not only be bringing innovation and a top-quality cinema experience to the area but also laying its foundations as a community cinema, with a statement explaining "this has been top of mind from the outset, from the design of the cinema using recycled materials from old barns in the Hunter region to our commitment to local recruitment.

"So far there have been over 60 locals employed in various roles that will help us deliver on our brand promise of ‘Experience More’ to guests."

HOYTS Green Hills also features the open plan Candy Bar Treat City and Artie’s Bar & Café.
