read moreFitness On Demand, one of the world leaders in the curation and delivery of premium fitness content to clubs and gyms, has added fitness industry veteran, Glen Taylor, to their global sales force.
Based in Brisbane, Taylor brings more than two decades of experience to the role of growing Fitness On Demand’s southern hemisphere business interests and client gym portfolio.
After leaving the army, as a Physical Training Instructor Taylor transitioned into fitness equipment sales, where he excelled. He has since held many positions within the fitness industry from state to country manager roles and worked with a variety of fitness industry brands including Cybex and Matrix.
During his long track record, Taylor has also owned and operated gyms and recently looked into Fitness On Demand products and services as a way to bring enhanced fitness content offerings to gym members.
Taylor explains “we had investigated using Fitness On Demand’s content services at my gym before the pandemic. But once Covid-19 hit in Australia we knew immediately that we needed to enhance our digital and virtual fitness offerings. That also gave me firsthand insight into FOD’s portfolio of content and the new FLEX program that allows clubs to stream content to their members wherever they are. When that happened, it got us over the finish line - and I realised that I wanted to get more involved in trying to help grow FOD’s services to clubs here in Australia, who are all working on their virtual fitness programs for their members.”
Taylor takes the reigns, effective immediately with a plan to focus on health clubs and gyms before eventually expanding sales outreach into other virtual fitness categories including multi-family dwellings, hospitality and corporate campuses.
Fitness On Demand Director of Business Development, Armin Krienke notes “we’re thrilled to have Glen come on board. He brings an enormous amount of market knowledge and a diverse background from many facets of the fitness industry. Glen’s already at work with us and we know he’s going to be a major asset for all of our Australian customers both existing and new.”
