FitEx: the science and business of fitness and exercise
Following the success of this year's GetNZ Active Conference, Fitness New Zealand has announced that, from 2012, the industry conference will be expanded and re-branded as FitEx.
The enlarged event will incorporate a whole new strand on science and research, as well as greater emphasis on business, as well as continuing to offer world class sessions on Personal Training, Nutrition, Group Exercise and Mind/Body.
FitnessNZ Chief Executive Richard Beddie explains "the conference has been running for over five years now, and proven itself to be truly world class.
"(However) we wanted to expand on this and take it to the next level.
"The very best conferences around the world incorporate an element of the latest science and research, and an essential element of this is to ensure this research is presented in a way that's highly practical and relevant to the exercise professionals attending, and untimely able to benefit their clients.
"We are fortunate to have partnered with some of the best research based education organisations in New Zealand, such as AUT University, and also able to bring in exercise and business gurus from around the globe to present to FitEx in 2012, so we are confident that the conference will continue to
support the every growing fitness and exercise industry in New Zealand."
Full details of FitEx 2012 will be available in the near future at http://site.fitnessnz.co.nz/
