Digital lock manufacturer Codelocks opens Australian branch

Digital lock manufacturer Codelocks opens Australian branch
May 2, 2014

Due to the increasing popularity of its standalone access control products in the Asia Pacific region, leading digital lock manufacturer Codelocks has opened a branch office in Australia.

Located in Chatswood, NSW, and with a team led by newly appointed Regional General Manager Mark Samuelson, the new office will allow the UK-based company to provide its customers with sales and technical support, training and a next-day delivery service.

Explaining the international expansion, Codelocks Ltd Managing Director Grant Macdonald stated “over the last few years, sales of our keyless locks have grown significantly in this region.

“The new office and warehouse will allow us to provide on-the-ground local support to our expanding network of distributors and customer base.

“We are delighted to welcome Mark Samuelson on board as General Manager. Mark has a sound business background and he is looking forward to building a strong team and providing a wide range of customer support services in the region. In time, we’ll be able to tailor the Codelocks brand of products and services to best fit local market requirements.”

Codelocks already have an extensive global client list in the fitness, gym, recreation and spa sectors and has recently expanded its product range to incorporate audit trail technology and remote code generation software.

Commenting on this development Samuelson added “gone are the days of the simple lock and key!

“Recent enhancements to the Codelocks product range give me the opportunity to pursue some exciting business opportunities, especially with the new KitLock cabinet and locker lock range.

“As well as developing relationships with locksmiths and end users, I’ll be working closely with our current distributors and OEM partners to help Codelocks secure a larger share of the access control market. I can’t wait to get started.”

Codelocks designs and manufactures a range of digital keyless door and cabinet locks for organisations that need to control access within their buildings. The locks save time and money by being easy to fit and easy to program. Unlike other solutions, digital push button locks don’t require complex wiring, ID cards or external power, and are more cost effective for many applications.

The locks offer the user a convenient standalone solution and are sold with ‘everything you need in the box’ to fit them, including parts, instructions and templates.
