BIG4 Holiday Parks has paid tribute to tourism excellence at the BIG4 Annual Awards, presented at its annual conference in Hobart – attended by over 250 attendees, sponsors and exhibitors for three insightful days of presentations, workshops and activities.

Held on Wednesday 19th October 2016, the Gala Dinner Awards presentation, a high point of the ‘Pursuit of Excellence’ conference, was hosted by Jo Palmer from Southern Cross Nightly News.

Des and Margaret Watts’ BIG4 Supreme Award for Excellence
The ultimate recognition of the very best of BIG4 parks, the ‘BIG4 Supreme Award for Excellence’ was presented personally by Award sponsors Des and Margaret Watts to BIG4 Inverloch Holiday Park.

BIG4 People’s Choice Awards
To emphasise the importance of the customer experience and feedback, the BIG4 People’s Choice Award recognises a park that has earned exceptionally high popularity among guests, BIG4 members and the public. The 2016 winner was BIG4 Grampians Parkgate Resort, Victoria. 

A number of other parks were recognised for loyalty membership and sales accolades, and two individuals were awarded staff recognition and rising star Awards for their commitment to excellence.

Steven Wright, Chief Executive of BIG4 Holiday Parks, congratulated the parks and individuals on their respective wins, stating “these accolades recognise the best of the best from within the BIG4 Holiday Parks network. 

“The winners have excelled in their categories, and it gives me great pleasure in congratulating them on the honour. The Awards are testament to their effort and passion for their parks and their businesses. 

“I’d particularly like to acknowledge BIG4 Inverloch for winning the BIG4 Supreme Award for Excellence, and BIG4 Grampians Parkgate Resort for being named the BIG4 People’s Choice Award winners. 

“With these wins, they are in the prestigious company of parks that have set the benchmark for holiday parks in Australia.”
