Following on from the release of the latest editions of the highly regarded Smart Guides to Synthetic Sports Surfaces, Smart Connection Consultancy Managing Director, Martin Sheppard is looking to encourage global collaboration and nation-wide industry support.
Sheppard (pictured above), recognised for his ongoing commitment to knowledge sharing, collaboration and advocacy of the sports surfacing industry, explains “true collaboration and knowledge sharing involves engaging in discussions, encouraging Q&A and openly addressing industry issues. The Smart Guides are an excellent industry resource; however, the Discussion Group will provide participants with an extra opportunity to openly converse, discuss and share surfacing solutions in an independent and unbiased environment.
“The Australian Synthetic Sports Surfaces Discussion Group will discuss and address current industry issues including microplastics, injury studies, smart sports fields, hybrid technology, performance infills, the cradle to cradle approach and much more to give participants the chance to understand these important concepts, in a more meaningful and effective way.”
