Apparent error sees Accor hotel group offer tickets for Taylor Swift’s 2024 Sydney concerts
September 7, 2023

Hotel group Accor will not be offering tickets for Taylor Swift’s 2024 Australian tour despite its rewards program advising that it would be making available previously unreleased seat for the singers Eras tour.

Media reports this morning advised that the Accor Live Limitless website was offering ticketing packages for Reward points holders for Swift’s concerts at Sydney’s Accor Stadium.

It advised that, from 3rd October, Category A tickets would cost fans 12,000 Reward points, Suite Packages 35,000 points and that a points auction for tickets would cost 1000 points.

However, amid massive interest in tickets becoming available for the sold-out shows, the web page soon became inaccessible, with Accor confirming no tickets would be available via its rewards program.

As of this afternoon, Frontier Touring, which is managing the tour dates, confirmed that tickets can only be accessed via Ticketek.

In a statement it advised “Frontier Touring wish to advise that stories in the media today that Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour tickets will be available through the Accor Live Limitless program are incorrect.

“Accor is not approved for this activity and have confirmed they will be removing this offer immediately. We remind fans that the only safe - and approved - avenue to secure tickets is through the official ticketing agency for the tour, Ticketek.”

Ticketek also issued a similar statement while an Accor Stadium spokesperson told NCA Newswire that the stadium was not aware of the new ticket release.

The spokesperson for Accor Stadium (for which Accor holds the naming rights but which does not have operational links) man was unable to answer questions about why the offer was featured on the Accor loyalty program’s website.

Accor itself has not released any comment on the matter.

Fans who are looking to purchase resale tickets will have to wait a little longer until Ticketek sets up its official Marketplace.

Originally set to be available from 4th September, the platform has not revealed a new date for its resale event.

The website is hoped to cut out scalpers with resales capped prices at 10% above the original costs, as per state anti-scalping legislation.
