Anti Wave International installations for 27th Southeast Asian Games in Myanmar
High performance aquatic sport equipment supplier Anti Wave has installed a range of starting blocks, racing lanes, movable bulkheads, backstroke and falsestart poles for the aquatic facilities at the upcoming 27th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Myanmar.
The installations, at the Wunna Theikdi Swimming Pool and Zayar Thiri Swimming Pool in the Myanmar capital of Naypyittaw mark yet another installation of Anti Wave equipment in venues hosting national and international aquatic sporting competitions.
With its opening ceremony to be held on 11th December, the SEA Games will feature 33 sports, with the Wunna Theikdi and Zayar Thiri Swimming Pools sharing the aquatic competition.
The facilities each feature three pools: a 10-lane 50 metre pool with an Anti Wave Movable Bulkhead, a 25 metre square Diving Pool and an outdoor 10-lane 50 metre training pool. Each pool has been built with Myrtha Pools technology and are equipped with Omega Timing Systems with four colour scoreboards and Anti Wave Swim, Polo and Deck Equipment.
Founded by former professional Water Polo player, Anti Kajlich, Anti Wave's patented water polo goals were first selected for the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich and has been used extensively in national and international competitions since.
Anti Wave racing lanes were first patented in 1975 and used in the first World Swimming Championship in the same year. Since then they were selected for Olympics, FINA World Championships, World Cups and many other international venues and events.
