The conference is to be held at the city’s Claudelands Arena the multi-purpose indoor sports and entertainment centre that was named Supreme Venue of the Year at the 2014 EVANZ Awards.
Completed in 2011 at a cost of $68.4 million, Claudelands offers a 6,000 capacity arena and four-star conference and exhibition centre with the arena including a unique C-shaped auditorium, the only one of its kind in New Zealand and Australia, which is fully retractable and capable of holding live music and entertainment, international sporting events, large banquets, conferences and exhibitions.
The EVANZ Conference also includes the EVANZ annual industry awards. Introduced in 2013, the awards recognise and reward the success of venues while also acknowledging the contribution of individuals in great leadership, operational management success and identifying the stars of the future.
Nominations close on Friday 14th October with finalists to be announced on Monday 14th November.
A full program for the Conference, set to include presentations on topics directly impacting New Zealand venues, will be announced soon.
