The Jump Pad encourages all ages to jump for joy

The Jump Pad encourages all ages to jump for joy
August 1, 2019

With inflatable jumping products having gone through various stages of improvements with developments of new safety regulations and more emphasis on quality over price over the years, the Jump Pad offers an alternative to the traditional ‘bounce house’ or the curved permanently installed jumping pillow.

The Jump Pad burst on to the market six years ago, initially being sold into the campground market in the USA and Canada.

With the business’ owners living in Queensland the company has more recently launched into the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Finding a niche market during a time when concern for safety was becoming a real issue for inflatable products, The Jump Pad Company’s prototype was a flat surface, without walls that had individual baffles allowing jumpers to jump side by side having little effect on each other. As a result, mixed ages, even adults, could now jump and have fun with more ease of mind.

The Jump Pad LLC owner, Dennis Macready explains “more recently, schools that cater for children with disabilities have found the jump pad has had tremendous effect teaching balance and having fun at the same time (while) gymnasiums are running adult fitness classes with The Jump Pad.”

Patent pending, the Jump Pad is available in four popular sizes from 6m x 7.6m up to a massive 9.2m x 21.3m. Smaller sizes can be made to cater for limited space.

The Jump Pad Company, based in the US state of Tennessee with a manufacturing outlet in California, has since moved into various markets including agri-tourism farms, camps, indoor play centres, shopping centres, resorts and schools.

The local office will offer the fully imported product to similar domestic markets in Australia and New Zealand.

Macready adds “the design allows for use indoor or outdoor and can be rolled up and stored over winter, the obvious benefit being longevity of the product. Many operators move the Jump Pad around their facilities depending on what event they are running at the time.”

Made to comply with Australian Standards with commercial grade 18oz PVC the material has a UV rating of 4.5 out of a possible 5.
