Fitness innovator Technogym has revealed MYCYCLING, a new indoor training solution for cyclists  that combines a native app with personalised programs, high-tech smart trainers and a network of professionals with the ability to guide riders and develop tailor-made training programs – compatible with road, mountain and track bikes.

MYCYCLING also offers a specific and innovative training system dedicated to cyclists - TNT (Technogym Neuromuscular Training) that will help participants continually improve their performance.

Born from collaboration between Technogym’s medical and scientific research and the best athletes, coaches, physiologists and sports trainers, the new TNT system aims to enhance metabolic and neuromuscular characteristics to improve outdoor performance.

The unique elements developed by Technogym for training using the TNT system are based on:

MYCYCLING is designed to offer maximum stability during training, especially when simulating outdoor sprints. The heart of the product is the electro-mechanical brake, that features a torque sensor that directly measures power with a precision tolerance of +/-1%. Optical sensors analyse the thrust at all times, allowing you to visualise the smooth circular pedalling stroke and symmetry between participants left and right foot with the flywheel designed to ensure a natural pedalling sensation that provides the same sense of inertia riders feel from pedalling outdoors.

Triathlete and Technogym Ambassador Courtney Home explains “the MYCYCLING trainer has helped me to identify my pedal stroke. I have always been dominant on my right side and now I have been able to focus on equalising my power output on each side, which in return means more efficient riding. It has made me more aware of my power placement in both legs.”

The dedicated MYCYCLING App enables users to simply place their smartphone on the handlebar support to take control via Bluetooth or connect to their Garmin/Strava accounts to enjoy an overview of your indoor and outdoor training data.

The App also gives riders the ability to engage with other users through challenging competitions and ride along the world’s most iconic cycling routes, such as Passo dello Stelvio and Col de l'Alpe d'Huez.

MYCYCLING’s range of personalised training programs also help ascertain anaerobic power and cadence thresholds via two tests carried out indoors; the Maximal Test and Functional Threshold Power Test. Based on the results, participants’ training will be personalised and made of three phases – preparation, development and transition.

The TNT program consists of training sessions of 40 to 70 minutes, constantly changing the cadence and power levels for comprehensive neuromuscular activation.
