Quayclean Australia adds five colleges to education portfolio

Quayclean Australia has commenced the 2024 school year with the addition of The Scots College in NSW, Bunbury Catholic College in Western Australia, Grace Lutheran College in Queensland and Victoria’s Mentone Girls Grammar and St Bede’s College to its education portfolio.

At each of the schools, Quayclean will conduct cleaning, waste management and hygiene services at as it continues to expand its presence in the education sector in addition to its collection of major public venues and stadia.

Scots becomes the third GPS (Great Public Schools) college in Sydney under its care in addition to Shore School and St Joseph’s College.

With the company now operating at more than 90 private schools and institutes across the country,

Quayclean Chief Executive, Mark Piwkowski, said that the culture and purpose of the company “to make our customers look great” is infused throughout every aspect of its operations.

Since the end of the Covic 19 pandemic, the company has rebuilt its workforce and, through the Quay Academy, continued to build depth and skill in its wider leadership group offering outstanding growth and career opportunities to its team.

Further, the implementation of effective resource recovery and waste management practices at schools, colleges and institutes influence the sustainability attitudes of future generations.

Piwkowski stated “we are passionate about our customers, our staff, and the environment and implementing sustainable waste management practices. A key element of Quayclean’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) philosophy, is to make a difference to the communities and facilities where we operate.

“Apart from providing schools, colleges and institutes with a clean and safe operating environment, our onsite teams play an important indirect role in educating students and staff about waste management streams and sustainability practices.

“Only two of the 36 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG) were on track to be reached by 2030 and, as a community, we are becoming increasingly aware of our responsibility towards environmental matters and sustainability.”

Quayclean supports all 17 UNSDG’s and adopts six Goals which are aligned and relevant to its core daily operations.
