QTIC announces partnership with Local Tickets

QTIC announces partnership with Local Tickets
August 18, 2021

The Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC) has announced the recent addition of Local Tickets as a Corporate Partner.

As the peak body, and not-for-profit membership business, QTIC's role is to lead the industry with the support of key strategic business relationships.

Founded by Kristen Goldup in 2011, Local Tickets is a Queensland grown ticketing company that has expanded nationally and internationally to become Queensland's leading tourism and events ticketing agency.

Advising that as QTIC's official ticketing partner, Local Tickets supports the industry during this time of recovery, Goldup stated “we are proud to become QTIC's ticketing partner and deliver ticketing services to Queensland's most important events, especially during this time of economic and strategic recovery.

"Following last year's devastation to the events industry, 2021 is the year of local events, as it is a great opportunity for our regional towns to shine and showcase their unique events. As many local event organisers are using online ticketing for the first time, we're happy that Local Tickets can help them to easily manage their ticketing needs. As a Queensland based business, we have the ability to quickly respond to these users needs to offer a simple, tailored ticketing solution".

Australian award-winning event - Mount Isa Mines Rodeo, have been long-term clients of Local Tickets and can attest to the ongoing support and ticketing services which has seen an upwards swing in sales, having experienced record pre-sales in 2021.

Local Tickets works with local event organisers to maximise their revenue streams from pre to post-event. They help plan and deliver ticketing solutions for both virtual and live events that drive revenue, and their simple to use ticketing interface allows for more time and effort to be focused on event planning and promotion.

QTIC Chief Executive, Daniel Gschwind added "recommending a quality Queensland based ticketing agency to our members reinforces the importance for a collaborative approach between tourism and events. Local Tickets understands the needs of the industry and offers a simple and cost-effective solution”.

The Local Tickets system offers free ticketing solutions for free events.
