NSW Regional Events Conference returns to Wagga Wagga in 2017
Following the successful staging of its inaugural event in Wagga Wagga earlier this year, the NSW Regional Events Conference will return to NSW’s largest inland city in 2017.
A number of regional NSW destinations expressed their interest in hosting the event, a strong submission saw Wagga Wagga retain the event.
Event organiser Belinda King explains “we are thrilled the 2017 NSW Regional Events Conference will be held in Wagga Wagga.
“For those delegates returning for a second year, expect some surprises and the opportunity to see a side of the City you may not have experienced in 2016.”
The conference will see regional event professionals from across NSW converge on the city from 14th to 16th June 2017.
City of Wagga Wagga spokesperson Fiona Hamilton added “events are an important part of every regional city as they add to the liveability of our communities.
“The City of Wagga Wagga is proud to support this conference which will be held in the lead up to the popular Wagga Comedy Fest.
“The 2017 Regional Events Conference is a great opportunity for our local industry, including our Wagga Tourism Partners, to maximise the benefits hosting this event will have for our city.”
The event allows event professionals, event stakeholders and event students to have the opportunity to get together and hear from targeted and experienced presenters discussing issues and topics that directly affect the regional events industry.
The conference will showcase regional events from across Australia and also focus on volunteers, grants and funding, sponsorship, securing major events, financing for regional events and plenty more.
A Call for Papers will be released in early 2017.
