Netpulse releases mobile app features to attract new club members

Mobile app provider Netpulse has released a series of Mobile Acquisition Add-Ons to help fitness club operators acquire new members.

The new features of the Netpulse Club Mobile App are designed to allow operators to use their members’ smartphones to attract new members.

Using members’ smartphone contact, they can send mobile referrals, provide digital guest passes, reward members to motivate and engage them with the club and send impulse offers, such as open personal training session, to members.

Introducing the Add-Ons, Netpulse Senior Vice President Customer Success Mike Escobedo commented “mobile technology giants like Uber already use features such as mobile referrals to inexpensively grow their user base.

“Mobile Acquisition Add-Ons give club operators access to these same groundbreaking technologies to acquire new members and grow revenue.

“Operators can now generate referrals through a device their members already love to use - their smartphones - and reward members for this behaviour.”

Escobedo adds that at pilot clubs, increased app engagement has grown referrals, guest pass usage and new member acquisition, with some pilot locations doubling their historical monthly referrals.

Dave Dos Santos, Chief Executive of Boston, Massachusetts based Best Fitness has adopted the add-on features and explains “engagement has tripled, app downloads have gone through the roof and we’ve seen a significant increase in referrals and new member conversions.

“These features have more than paid for themselves.”

The four new features are now available at an additional cost as an add-on to the standard Club Mobile App powered by Netpulse.

Among Australian clients, Goodlife Health Clubs launched a Netpulse powered mobile app across its 76 club locations last year.
