read moreGranties Maze, a new visitor attraction on the NSW South Coast, is to host an Australian Amusement Association seminar on 23rd March.
The seminar will cover four subject areas:
• How to correctly erect jumping castles and other inflatables - George Zacchini.
• Repairs to jumping castles and why they should be done correctly - Jay Maxwell and Mike Kosiak of Jumping Jacks.
• What ride inspectors look for when inspecting rides - Brian Bradley and Chris Turner.
• The do's and don'ts of getting insurance on inflatables and amusement rides - Mick Alexander of HIB Insurance Brokers.
Granties Maze, a long planned development by real estate professional John Grant, will, when complete offer a mature hedge maze along with 16 other attractions including mini golf, canoes, electric cars, picnic areas, giant chess, trampolines and amusement rides.
Located 8 kilometres south of Gerringong, the maze is 100 metres long x 50 metres wide. Having been planted 25 years ago, the maze is now mature. However, for most of those 25 years John Grant has been in conflict with Kiama Council over the development of the attraction â that now appears to be at an end with Grant having been granted approval to open subject to building a propery on the site.
Doubtless Grant will have many insights on his lengthy planning battle to share with delegates at the seminar.
