The acquisition of SharpShooter Imaging in the United States by Magic Memories is the largest purchase for the Queenstown-based company since it was founded in 1995.

The acquisition, completed on 6th September, sees Magic Memories leading the industry as the largest provider of innovative content and photography solutions for the global attractions industry.

This major milestone will add 99 locations for a total of 185 worldwide Magic Memories sites where the business is a valued partner with major entertainment and attraction providers. Key SharpShooter Imaging partners include San Diego Zoo, Florida Aquarium and Grand Canyon Railway.

Commenting on the acquisition, Magic Memories Chief Executive Chris Warhurst explained “the business transformation of Magic Memories as a global brand is testament to the quality of our people and products and I’m so proud of our team.

“Bringing the two businesses together is a huge step in increasing our worldwide product suite, developing our technologies and having experienced people support the future growth we anticipate.”

Magic Memories has dedicated significant research and development to a growth strategy focused on achieving this expansion. Magic Memories now has around 2,000 employees across the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, China, United Arab Emirates, Australia and New Zealand.
