ICC Sydney marks Global Exhibitions Day by preparing for eight trade and consumer exhibitions in June
June 1, 2022

Coinciding with today’s seventh edition of the annual Global Exhibitions Day (1st June 2022), International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney) has announced it is planning to welcome 64,000 people through eight trade and consumer exhibitions scheduled for June.

This comes off the back of delivering 22 exhibitions in the first five months of the year, including the current 29th Asia-Pacific Venue Industry Congress (30th May to 1st June), with the exhibitions having attracted 125,000 attendees to the venue.

Global Exhibitions Day is an international day of recognition for the global exhibitions industry, and a celebration of its role in accelerating the global economy.

The exhibition market is on track for a swift recovery in 2022 as the pent up demand following two pandemic interrupted years manifests in a productive exhibitions calendar for ICC Sydney.

ICC Sydney Chief Executive, Geoff Donaghy, said exhibitions were an extremely important market segment for Sydney that accelerated trade and investment, face to face networking and provided a platform for innovation and entrepreneurship on the show floor.

Donaghy notes “on this Global Exhibitions Day, it is encouraging to see the exhibitions market continue to deliver significant benefits to Sydney and New South Wales (NSW) with direct and indirect attendee expenditure boosting the state economy and positively impacting suppliers.

“Not only are opportunities created for businesses on the expo floor, the economic impact of these shows and the audiences they attract, are enjoyed by Sydney as well as regional economies.”

Some of the exhibitions scheduled at ICC Sydney for June include the 29th Asia-Pacific Venue Industry Congress ((30th May to 1st June); the Fitness + Wellness Australia show (16th-17th June) and the Good Food and Wine Show (24th-26th June) which is celebrating its 21st year in operation.
