read moreCounting down to its IAAPA Expo Asia 2023, the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) has opened registrations for the continent’s leading trade show for the attractions industry while its exhibition space - featuring 70 booths spread across nearly 7,000 metre² of space - is now sold out.
Taking place at Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands from 13th to 16th June, IAAPA Expo Asia event will welcome general managers, owners and chief executives of theme parks, amusement parks, zoos, aquariums and waterparks travel to the show to buy rides, make new connections, sign deals connect with attractions industry experts and be educated at special industry sessions.
Event highlights
This year, the Leadership Breakfast will feature Tom Mehrmann, President and Chief Operating Officer at Universal Destinations and Experiences, as a keynote speaker.
There will also be a Pacific Rim Opening Reception at Universal Studios Singapore, an EDUTour of the Jewel Changi Airport and an EDUTour of AVATAR: The Experience at Gardens by the Bay.
The agenda also features a wide range of educational sessions, looking at topics such as inclusivity, budget creation and maintenance, contingency planning, sustainability, technology and innovation. In addition to education sessions, there are also EDUTours, networking events, and in-depth learning opportunities, some of which have an additional cost.
IAAPA Asia Pacific Executive Director and Vice President, June Ko explains “the IAAPA team looks forward to welcoming attendees and exhibitors when we finally host IAAPA Expo Asia after a forced break.
“The industry is ready to once again gather in the Asia Pacific region to showcase their greatest innovations, hear from leading experts, and build relationships during one of IAAPA’s signature events.”
The event will also be attended by ‘hosted buyers’ under IAAPA’s new global Hosted Buyer Program. The first program under the scheme will see IAAPA host new buyers from across the globe, enabling them to connect with exhibitors and IAAPA members during pre-arranged appointments.
This new offering will also feature at IAAPA Expo Europe 2023, taking place in Vienna, Austria in September and during IAAPA Expo 2023, set to open in Orlando in November.
In March, IAAPA held the first-ever IAAPA Middle East Trade Summit and IAAPA North America Trade Summit.
