This free event will take place on Sunday 15th December 2024, from 11am to 2pm at the Main Pavilion Function Room, Sports City, Shepparton.

Featuring an esteemed line-up of speakers, Beyond the Game will delve into critical themes surrounding resilience, inclusiveness, and the transformative role of sport in challenging times. The panel includes:

David Younger will provide a unique perspective, connecting these themes to the broader context of disaster recovery and community resilience.

Council Director Community, Louise Mitchell, highlighted the importance of sport in helping to bring the community together to overcome adversity noting “Sport is more than just competition; it is a platform for connection and growth, especially during times of adversity.
