The stage two expansion of the Galaxy Macau Hotel & Casino has chosen and installed BECSys5 pool pH and chlorine controllers with ethernet connection to the site’s building management and control system (BMCS).

The multi-billion dollar Galaxy Macau expansion project includes a third hotel and casino tower, extensive landscaping and enlarged waterpark facilities with two 550 metre long lazy river rides, a lagoon pool, resort pools and various new waterslides.

US Consulting Engineers, Water Technology Incorporated, specified BECSys5 controllers for all the new water treatment plants as these products have a proven track record at many large waterparks and aquatic centres, including Wet’n’Wild Sydney and the new Gold Coast Aquatic Centre.

With low running costs through reliable, long life probes combined with the very latest in communications technology, these controllers are ideal for networking at large facilities – giving simple remote access for monitoring and control, along with alarm call out capabilities.

Supplied in standard configuration with ethernet communications cards and ‘BECSys for Windows’ PC software, BECSys5 controllers also offer optional MODBUS communications, compatible with most building management computer systems.

Tim Batt of Australian BECS Technology distributor Tim Batt Water Solutions explains “the reliable control of pH and chlorine in commercial pools has been shown to typically save 20-50% on chemical costs, whilst ensuring consistent compliance with Health regulations for operators.
