Fitness Australia brings stakeholders together to improve community health in Geelong
In an effort to boost collaboration in Geelong the first in a series of Industry Forums is aimed at improving engagement with the local community.
As Amanda Hall, Fitness Australiaâs Relationship Manager explains âthe Fitness Industry is keen to play an active role in affecting change in the health of the community in Victoria.
âThis Forum was driven by the demand of Geelongâs pro-active industry and is designed to bring the big issues to a forefront at a casual level, making anything and everything up for discussion.
âI am looking forward to some dynamic dialogue where all parties can explore how to work together to improve the health of the region. This is a collaborative approach, driven by Fitness Australiaâs Geelong Regional Industry Network, and is a unique opportunity for local fitness businesses and professionals to share health solutions to meet the needs of the community and local health sector.? Fitness Australia recently launched a national consumer education campaign to raise the awareness of industry standards, giving the community more choice and confidence in the fitness industry.
The campaign website allows people to check if their Trainer or Instructor is Registered with Fitness Australia to verify their qualifications and skill set and to search for a Registered Fitness Business in their local area.
The vibrant and diverse industry in the region that will be represented at this event demonstrates how much more consumer-focused the fitness industry has become.
