The presentation of the Innovation and Trend Awards is one of the highlights of the program of the European Health and Fitness Forum (EHFF), a forum by EuropeActive, which is traditionally held one the day before FIBO 2023 at the Cologne exhibition centre.

Over 600 high-ranking representatives of the global fitness industry cheered as the nominees in their six award categories were called to the front of the stage.

Anke Brendt, Product Manager FIBO, made the importance of the FIBO Innovation and Trend Awards clear in her welcome advising "Numerous global trends, innovations and ideas started their careers at the FIBO Innovation and Trend Awards. This award is proof that the industry is constantly developing outstanding products and constantly setting new standards. This year's nominees and winners make that clear."

Prof. Ingo Froboese, Prof. Niels Nagel and Prof. Alfonso Jiménez, three of the jurors from the international jury team, were there and presented the laudations for each category live on stage.

The Winners of the FIBO Innovation & Trend Awards 2023

Category Health & Prevention: Icaros Guardian (pictured top)
A movement and balance system with gamification app that can be used by both seniors and top athletes to help build stamina, strength and coordination in combination with a specially developed app and various exergames.

Category Ecology & Sustainability: RefresherBoxx
According to the manufacturer, the RefresherBoxx is the world's first washing machine that disinfects, dries and refreshes items without water or chemicals.

Category Performance: The Antagonist
An innovative full-body strength and cardio machine for bi-directional and uni-directional training while simultaneously training agonist and antagonist muscle groups.

Category Start Up: The Turnkiste
The Turnkiste is an innovative storage box for outdoor sports equipment: can be booked digitally, can be opened with a mobile phone and, of course, is vandal-proof and theft-proof. For trainers and private individuals – incl. an online forum for finding training partners.

Category Lifestyle & Wellness: ErgoSportive™
ErgoSportive™ is a Smart & Adjustable Recovery System, representing an exclusive and innovative connection between a smart bed and Garmin® wearables, offering users 24/7 reports on their health data.

The distinction of being nominated or even winning the FIBO Innovation & Trend Award is a great success and a strong basis for good future developments and business.

All nominees and award winners can be viewed directly at their booth during FIBO 2023 (13 - 16 April 2023). They are already looking forward to explaining the background and details of their products to visitors and interested parties.
