EYE Fitness and Synergy Fitness join in merged equipment supply venture
Leading Australian fitness equipment suppliers Synergy Fitness and EYE Fitness have announced that their businesses will merge as of 1st April this year.
The merger will see Calgym Fitness Holdings (trading as Synergy Fitness through Synergy Physical Conditioning Systems Pty Ltd) and EYE Fitness Pty Ltd combine their personnel, products, suppliers and clients to become a powerful combined force.
The two brands will continue to be present in the market with Calgym Fitness Holdings trading as Synergy Fitness the parent company and the Synergy brand representing the companies’ owned and manufactured brands and EYE Fitness being the distribution arm of all other products across South East Asia.
The newly formed management team will consist of Synergy founder Leo Young as Chief Executive, and current Synergy General Manager Brendan Davis combining with EYE Fitness founder David Norman and his business partner Nick Aspinall spearheading the new combined venture.
Norman explained that the new combination is based on a notion of being ‘stronger together’ and presents “a unique opportunity to deliver innovation through leading global brands along with (an) ability to manufacture world leading innovative advancements that both excite fitness environments and ultimately impact the holistic wellbeing of users.”
Norman advised “by combining resources, Synergy Fitness and EYE Fitness will now be leading the fitness industry on product innovation, service, maintenance, aftercare and education.
“We will provide a full turnkey solution to any fitness facility, big or small, that you won’t find anywhere else.
“Our brand and philosophy is to go in search of new and innovative fitness products that will not only enhance people’s lives, but facilitate greater monetary returns for facility owners.”
Norman added “we are very passionate and excited by the road ahead.
“Personally Nick and I are committed to all our existing partners and the EYE fitness story we have created over the years and truly only see us in a better position to strengthen our offering with the Synergy Fitness merger.
“Nick will be the Sales and Marketing Director and oversee the expanded/combined teams with all of the current EYE fitness team being retained. I will take on a title of Innovation and Project Director to develop various business opportunities whilst still retaining management of all supplier relationships, specific key account sales and education.”
