read moreThe fifth Australian Cycle Tourism Conference and Rail Trail Symposium will be held in Canberra in February. The event will be staged at the Ann Harding Conference Centre within the University of Canberra on 2nd and 3rd February 2012.
Organisers say that the this a "must do" event for anyone with an interest in the rapidly developing world of cycle tourism: academics, government agencies with tourism and cycling interests, business managers (already engaged or exploring opportunities), regional tourism agencies, consultants, professional and volunteer cycling organisations, rail trail advocates and operators and those with a general interest in cycling tourism.
Information sharing and networking opportunities at the fifth Australian Cycle Tourism Conference and Rail Trail Symposium will include:
• The Conference will address topics related to Cycle Tourism both in Australia and internationally.
• The Symposium will cover issues dealing with the development, marketing, use and maintenance of Rail Trails with a particular emphasis on how NSW may progress with development of new trails.
• The program includes a great line up of internationally recognised speakers, panel discussions, site visits and social events.
