City of Parramatta Lord Mayor Cr Andrew Wilson said Parramatta is renowned for cultural, community and family-focused events that offer something for everyone.
“Parramatta provides both world-class and grassroots events that illustrate the diversity of our wonderful City,” Mayor Wilson said.
“The Community Events grants encourage low-cost or free events which deliver social, community, recreational and cultural benefits and attract new visitors who can experience all that our amazing City has to offer.”
Previous events to receive funding include the Little India Fair, Let’s Go Greek Festival, Fiji Day and Epping Carols in the Park.
Applicants are eligible to receive grant funding to cover up to 20% of the total event budget up to $10,000 annually. The total pool amount available is $55,000 per financial year.
The Community Events grants are open to not-for-profit organisations, community groups, professional groups and individuals, and events must align with the City of Parramatta’s Values and Priorities.
Applicants should review the Events Grant Guidelines and complete the City of Parramatta Council Community Events Grant application.
Applications close 18 February 2019 at 5pm.
