The City of Sydney has an array of additional programming and special events on offer during Seniors Festival from 11th to 24th March. Among the offerings for residents over 55 are free swimming and exercise classes at one of the City of Sydney’s aquatic centres.

Participating locations include:

• Andrew (Boy) Charlton Pool, The Domain
• Cook + Phillip Park Pool, Sydney
• Gunyama Park Aquatic and Recreation Centre, Zetland
• Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre, Ultimo
• Prince Alfred Park Pool, Surry Hills
• Victoria Park Pool, Camperdown

As part of this year’s Seniors Festival, City of Sydney are offering all new senior visitors to Juanita Nielsen Community Centre free access from 11^th to 16^th  March to highlight the importance of maintaining a fit and healthy lifestyle, regardless of your age. Equipment at the centre includes a range from Technogym.

It's also an opportunity to meet new people in your local community and experience the benefits that come from staying connected.

Table tennis tournaments, walking groups and sound bath and meditation sessions are also among the sport,  fitness and wellness offerings available during Seniors Festival.

Dance and movement classes will be led by two dance artists in workshops combining sound, movement and improvisation using Airsticks, a digital instrument.

For those interested in creativity, opportunities include ceramic glaze workshop and exploring drawing, ceramics, watercolour painting and printmaking at a monthly art club.
