Believe It or Not! Ripley’s New ‘Odditorium’ wins electrical award
The impressive design, supply and installation of the electrical fit-out by Stowe Australia during the construction of the new Ripleyâs Believe It or Not! Odditorium led the judges to select this project as the winner of the Peopleâs Choice Award.
General Manager of NECAâs Queensland Chapter Guy Houghton said the entire fit-out from the wiring through to the design of the lighting was phenomenal, stating âanyone that has seen the new Odditorium will know how impressive it is and the electrical skills used during the design and fit-out are absolutely first class.
âThe lighting and supply of electricity to the new exhibits was a significant challenge but the results speak for themselves. Iâm glad the judges voted this project as the Peopleâs Choice Award as it really does set a new benchmark.?
Since the new attraction opened, Ripleyâs has experienced record trading and attendances.
General Manager of Ripleyâs Believe It or Not! Odditorium in Surfers Paradise Russell Murphy, said the design of the new fit-out has been so successful that it will be duplicated around the world starting with San Francisco and then Hollywood which will be completed later this year - Believe It or Not!
Murphy told Australasian Leisure Management that âthe lighting and electrical plan has surpassed my expectations and feedback from guests since opening on January 22 has us as âThe Wow Factor Experience Attractionâ in Surfers Paradise.
âI am the proudest manager in the company.?
