Array of venues to participate in Port Adelaide’s ‘New Found Sound’ live music event
November 28, 2024

Port Adelaide’s free, family-friendly live music event - ‘New Found Sound’ – will see local artists performing across 10 venues and historic spaces when the immersive experience returns 18th January 2025.

The City of Port Adelaide Enfield will transform the historic streets of Port Adelaide into a dynamic celebration of music and culture with the return of the live music discovery event.

Back by popular demand after its debut in 2024, the free, one-night-only event offers an unforgettable opportunity to explore the precinct and enjoy performances from over 30 of South Australia's most exciting emerging acts.

From the historic SA Maritime Museum to the Clipper Ship, this year's music discovery event promises a night filled with great music, delicious food and drink, and an unbeatable community spirit to kick off Adelaide's 2025 summer festival season.

The SA Maritime Museum will host an exciting lineup of three established artists: Pascoe/Martin, San Ureshi, and David Kotlowy. They will all be performing on the historic Ketch, adding a special maritime atmosphere to their brilliant, experimental, and improvised works. Additionally, the entire museum will be open to the public for free on the night, offering visitors the chance to explore the museum's fascinating maritime exhibits while enjoying the performances. Located in the heart of Port Adelaide, the museum blends maritime heritage with the contemporary sounds of South Australia's emerging talent, which will undoubtedly create an unforgettable experience for all.

On the return of New Found Sound in 2025, the City of Port Adelaide Enfield's Mayor, Claire Boan notes “New Found Sound is an exciting new way to discover live music, and support Adelaide's freshest talent in the re-energised Port Adelaide precinct. You won't want to miss this exciting, free, night out showcasing our thriving creative community.”

This year's lineup has something for everyone from punk, soul, indie folk to jazz. The free live music programming will kick off at 6:00 pm and run until late throughout the precinct.

For a high-energy finish, Mondo Psycho (above), fronted by powerhouse vocalist Carla Lippis will be performing at Vitalstatistix . Known for their explosive stage presence, Mondo Psycho never disappoints. This eclectic set will feature several of Adelaide's finest musicians performing in one of the city's most iconic contemporary art spaces, the heritage-listed Waterside Workers Hall. Other acts for the night are punk rockers Pest Control and Georgia Oatley.

Punters are encouraged to roll down early and support the Port's many restaurants, pubs, and eateries to make the most of the evening's performances throughout the night.
