Ungerboeck Software International has renewed its commitment to providing development opportunities and recognition for young industry talent by supporting the Venue Management Association (Asia and Pacific) [VMA] Young Achiever of the Year Award in its second year.

Announcing the ongoing backing, Fred Lazzerini, Managing Director of Ungerboeck, Asia-Pacific stated “this fantastic initiative was really well received in its inaugural year and we were so excited to be involved once again.”

VMA Chief Executive Steve Romer praised Ungerboeck as “a long standing corporate partner committed to the professional development and recognition of VMA’s future leaders.”

Announcing the winner of the 2017 Award, Lazzerini advised “Brittany Monaghan, the recipient of this year’s award, is not only a very driven and forward-thinking industry member but also a valued member of the dynamic team of one of our closest partners: Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.”

Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) has been working on a range of innovative projects to enhance their service delivery and customer satisfaction. As part of these initiatives, Ungerboeck has helped the organisation develop an industry leading portal that streamlines processes for customers before, during and after an event; providing a superior event experience.

Lazzerini added “we recognise MCEC’s commitment to continuous improvement and we are working closely with them to ensure they have the tools to achieve this.

“Brittany Monaghan has also demonstrated dedication to her professional development which will provide enormous benefit to the organisation throughout her career so we thought: how can we support her even further with her goals?”

Ungerboeck has extended Monaghan an invitation to attend its 2018 Asia-Pacific Conference

Every year, Ungerboeck holds a series of conferences worldwide which enable users to share ideas and best practice; learn about new features within Ungerboeck Software, and contribute to the ongoing software development.

Welcoming her award, Monaghan stated “I was thrilled to be recognised as the Young Achiever of the Year. This award has certainly given me great confidence and drive to continue to strive within the industry and reach for my goals. The support and encouragement received from other VMA members after being presented with this award has been incredibly touching.

“It’s an incredibly exciting time to be a part of the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre team, with the venue currently undergoing a major expansion.

“To support this, we have some really innovative projects in the works to enhance our customers’ experience, some of which Ungerboeck are involved in too. I have also been involved in a number of these and it has been both a great experience and opportunity to learn, develop and contribute to the evolution of the venue.

“This recognition has also allowed me to network with my industry colleagues and fellow VMA members, which has resulted in me forming new relationships and provided me with great opportunities for knowledge sharing.”

The Award was presented at the 2017 Asia Pacific Venue Industry Gala Dinner and Awards Night.
