Ticketek Australia has been appointed as the official ticket agent to provide ticketing technology and marketing services for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018).
In business for close to 40 years, Ticketek has massive experience in ticketing major and local events in Australia, and has pioneered customer-centric marketing and ticketing technology solutions that will deliver world-firsts to attendees of GC2018.
Welcoming the Ticketek’s appointment, Geoff Jones (pictured below), Chief Executive of Ticketek and parent company TEG stated “we are thrilled to provide our ticketing, marketing and data solutions for this marquee global event.
“We will be rolling out the latest technologies for the Commonwealth Games to deliver the best experiences for attendees from their ticket purchase through to their event day.
“There has been significant change in ticketing since Australia last hosted the Games in 2006, and Ticketek has been at the forefront of this advancement, ensuring the latest cutting-edge ticketing solutions will be available for GC2018.”
Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation Chairman, Nigel Chamier said he was pleased to welcome Ticketek to the GC2018 sponsor family and very confident an organisation with its reputation and experience would deliver successful ticketing solutions for GC2018 customers.
Chamier added “Ticketek has consistently proven its capability in the market place providing ticketing for some of the country’s biggest venues and events with more than 23 million tickets sold across 20,000 national events annually.
“Ticketek will provide an end to end service to GOLDOC managing all operational aspects across their advanced multichannel ticket sales network.
“Ticketek will also work with our ticketing team to introduce innovative elements of sustainability into the ticketing program.
