LAI Games forms new division to manufacture and market pay-per-use lockers
February 11, 2013

Global amusements developer and manufacturer LAI Games has established a new division, The Locker Network.

Making use of technology licensed from Locker Systems of Australia/Compusafe, The Locker Network offers clients around the world a system of easy-to-use, secure storage for location customers while creating a new revenue stream for operators.

The advanced electronic locker systems display sophisticated features including:

• Touch-screen payment modules with simple user interfaces and multi-language voice message assistance;
• Secure locker access control options via PIN, barcodes (on cards, tickets and wristbands), RFID or magnetic strip cards. Media are validated at modular touchscreen payment kiosks offering a simple user interface and multilingual voice prompts;
• Wireless remote monitoring and sophisticated cash/security logging system;
• Fully configurable rental times and locker payment options; and
• A unique 'Floating Locker' system guests pay a one-time fee for access to lockers at different locations within a facility.

The Locker Network locker systems are being manufactured at LAI Games' 9,000 metre2 factory in Indonesia.

A division of Perth-based Leisure and Allied Industries, LAI Games is best known as a developer and manufacturer of pay-to-play prize vending, ticket redemption and novelty games. Its Embed subsidiary is one of the world's major suppliers of cashless operating systems for the FECs.

With sales and service offices in Singapore and the USA, the LAI Group also operates a chain of 225 family entertainment centres in seven countries: Australia, India, Indonesia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam.
